One of college baseball's premier hitters in 2007, Mills was a first-round pick of the Cleveland Indians (13th overall). He set an NAIA record with 38 home runs at Lewis-Clark State and won national player of year honors. In addition to being a unanimous Freshman All-American in 2005, he took home the WAC Freshman of the Year Award, as well.
At Fresno State in 2005, this third baseman led the conference in RBI (63), homeruns (22), and slugging percentage (.699). He hit .319 and ranked in the top-10 in almost every offensive category, including batting average, runs scored, triples, walks, total bases.
Mills, the son of Red Sox coach and former big leaguer Brad Mills, played for Salinas Valley shortly after graduating high school in 2004 and dominated the CCBL. He will play for Lewis & Clark (Idaho) in 2007.
